Born in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. He completed his graduate studies at Waseda University.
He is a member of the TOYOTA Blockchain Lab and serves as Representative CEO of AGICL.
In the mid-2010s, he encountered Ethereum and began researching smart contracts. He organized Japan's first “Token Economy” session at Keio University's Hiyoshi Campus. After graduating from Waseda University in 2008, he joined Goldman Sachs as a new graduate and worked at the Tokyo and Hong Kong offices. He then worked in Hong Kong for Mitsubishi UFJ Bank and a family office of a conglomerate. He also participated in the launch of Everest Ventures Group, a venture studio specializing in fintech, and moved back to Japan in 2020, where he was in charge of fintech promotion at the Financial Services Agency.
